DSS Science Slam

 

Basic Rules of the Science Slam

  • On each Science Slam all students will hold a short talk.
  • A total of 10 minutes is allowed for each talk.
  • 6 minutes presentation of the own work.
  • 4 minutes round of questions and comments.
  • The two parts will be terminated after their time slots, albeit maybe not finished.
  • Interposed questions are not allowed.
  • If more discussion is necessary, it will be postponed after the complete Science Slam.

 

Rules for the Slides of the Science Slam

  • The slides language should be English.
  • The talk can be held either in English or in German.
  • German students should hold at least one talk in English.
  • Foreign stundents should hold at least one talk in German, if the talk is in German the slides can be written in German.
  • Mathematical expressions should be consistent.
