Audio Lab

   

In our audio lab we are able to do various envirenmental simulations such as acoustic simulation of automotive environments, train stations, or reverberant environments such as churches or large production facilities. Acoustic damping is mounted on each wall as well as on the ceiling. The floor, however, has no damping material (only carpet) in order to be able to put our research cars inside. Medical Lab

   

In our medical lab we mainly focus on electric and magentic measurements with high temporal resolution, which means in detail electroencephalography (EEG), electroneurography (ENG), and electrocardiography (ECG) as well as their magnetic couterparts, magnetoenecphalography (MEG), magnetocardiography (MCG), and magnetoneurography (MNG). In addition, the lab is equipped with about 30 flat panel loudspeakers in order to simulate several environments for patients and probands. Automotive Lab

   

In our automotive lab we focus on extensions on and in our research cars. For simulation of realtistic environments we have our own driving simulator with high resolution video and a so-called window loudspeaker system. For a more detailed view, please take a look at the 360° view.

 

Magnetoelectric Lab

   

In our magnetoelectric lab we test our algorithms designed for magnetocardiographic and magnetoneurographic analyses. The lab is magnetically shielded. This allows us to do "clear" magnetoelectric measurments on patients and probands. For a more detailed view, please take a look at the 360° view.

Audiometer

Last Wednesday (17.10.2018) we obtained our first audiometer. With this audiometer we are able to conduct both pure-tone audiometry up to 12.5 kHz and basic speech intelligibility tests. The tests may be perfomed for either air/bone conduction or in the free field. Now we can analyze the hearing capabilities of our test subjects, which will help us when performing subjective tests.
