Lombard Speech Examples

In automotive and medical speech processing the so-called Lombard effect (change of the speech production due to background noise) is of special importance. Below you can find a few examples. The speech files were generated by subject wearing headphones playing back the same signal as if the subjects would be in a car at different speeds.

New Lecture - Fundamentals of Acoustics

Starting this winter term the DSS group offers a new lecture entiteled "Fundamentals of Acoustcs". The lecture is given by Dr. Jan Abshagen (see picture). It will be a 3+1 lecture which takes place once a week. The lecture will cover the following topics:
