On Monday, 27th of May, CASSy - our new research platform for underwater signal processing arrived at the technical faculty. Thorben, Alexej, and Owe "pulled" her home from Wismar, where she was produced. CASSy is financed by the German Research Foundation (DFG) and, of course, we deliver a very big thank you to the DFG for the support.

Beside CASSy (the ship) we will get also a new MIMO-SONAR hardware (also funded by the DFG) that allows for new SONAR and communication modes, which we are happy to investigate in the near future.

DSS-Retreat 2019

As in the last year we spent a couple of days (15.10.2019 till 18.10.2019) on the island Sylt to reflect our past, current, and future research work. Due to a "cold wave" we were a bit reduced this year, but anyhow, we had a very good (and producive) time on this beautiful island. Beside our research plans (reflecting the last year and planning of the next years), we also discussed teaching ...
